Day 11: San Jose

Game day! Greg left early to head to the Niners facility in Santa Clara. We had been on pins and needles because there was a chance that the poor air quality (from the fires) would necessitate the game being relocated. Dallas, Texas was a possibility, and that would've been a huge problem for us -- with Greg having to fly and me having to drive the rental on the two day journey by myself. Thankfully, the weather cooperated and the game was able to be played.

Here's another shot from the neighborhood around the hotel.

And a couple of shots from the Greg's momentous first day. Almost everything went wrong technically but from where I sat watching the game on TV it looked fine! Great that the game was exciting and looked really good as a viewer, even though it was a bit challenging on the production end. Tomorrow we start the journey to Philadelphia.

On the field: NFL Week 1, 9/13/20: Arizona Cardinals @ San Francisco 49ers

The game was almost moved to Dallas or Phoenix because of health concerns over the air quality from the raging fires. With only a few parts per million to spare, the teams were allowed to play. Arizona QB Kyler Murray shocked the 49ers with his speed and accuracy. Final score: AZ 24 SF 20.

On the map: Middlesex, VT to San Jose, CA -- 3,059.9 miles
